Met Office technology overhaul means faster weather warning

The Met Office hopes to prevent a repeat of the widespread flood damage of last year after overhauling its forecasting technology.Meteorologists will be able to issue severe weather alerts up to day earlier than previously following the introduction of new computer modelling systems.
